About Me

Educational History:

I graduated from Happy High school in 1990. I attended WTAMU and graduated with a bachelor of science teaching degree in 2003 and a master's in Instructional Design & Technology in 2013. 

Degrees and Certifications:

I have a Bachelors of Science and a Masters of Education in Instructional Design and Technology. 

Current Position:

I am currently the Daycare director for Friona’s 3 year old program. This is my second year with Friona.

Previous Position:

 I started teaching with Head Start in 2004 at Region 16.  I continued working with Region 16 for 17 years. In 2021 I went to Dumas ISD and worked as a four-year-old Head Start teacher.

Family Information:

I am married to Ron Bye, and we have four wonderful children and one grandchild. My oldest, Dalton Bye, is 32 years old and living in Denton, Texas. he is a pilot for US Aviation. Colton Bye is 30 years old and lives in Amarillo, Texas. He is married to Audry, and they have a 5-year-old named Ella. Colton is the manager of American Tire, and Audry is a 4th grade teacher in Hereford. Dylan Bye is my next child; he is self-employed and is 28 years old. He owns and operates D. Bye Trucking and has a hay business. Finally, Jamee Bye is the only girl, and she is 25 years old and lives in Alabama. She works for the State of Florida Department of children and Families. She is a child protective investigator.  

Personal Information:

I love anything outdoors, including anything to do with water. I enjoy going to the beach, pool, or lake! Sunsets and sunrises are my favorite. I spend my time growing plants and enjoying spending time with my grandbaby Ella.
