I grew up in Friona and went to school from 1st to 12th grade.
I attended Angelo State University and Midwestern State University.
I have a BISD in Elementary Education and Early Childhood.
I have enjoyed working with children in many different settings. I worked in daycare while I was getting my degree and I also worked as a language facilitator through a grant program. I had a wonderful job teaching kindergarten in a private school and working with many students from our NATO countries.
I have been married for 42 years! I have three children whom I love dearly. My son Cliff lives here in Friona and my daughter Jana lives in Amarillo. Jay is in the airforce and has lived many interesting places. He is in Alaska at this time. We have 3 grandchildren – all boys. We are glad to be back in Friona with family and reuniting with friends.
I love teaching! I have a wonderful audience of kindergarteners who don’t mind if I sing a little off key. I can be actress and singer, nurse and grandma all in a day’s time. My favorite things to do are reading and crafting and my new favorite hobby is “pinteresting”.
